Welcome to TimeDot! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TimeDot's time visualization applications and services across Windows, web, Chrome extensions, and mobile platforms. Please read these Terms carefully before using our services.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TimeDot, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you may not access our services.

Open Source License

TimeDot is open source software released under the MIT License. This means:

  • You are permitted to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the software.
  • The software is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind.
  • In no event shall the authors or copyright holders be liable for any claims, damages, or other liability arising from the software or the use of it.

User Accounts

TimeDot primarily operates without user accounts, storing all data locally on your device. However, if we introduce optional account features in the future:

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other security breach.

User Responsibilities

When using TimeDot, you agree to:

  • Use the services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
  • Not use the services in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair any TimeDot server or networks connected to TimeDot servers.
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any parts of the services, other accounts, computer systems, or networks connected to TimeDot servers.
  • Not use the services to transmit any malware, viruses, or other malicious code.

Intellectual Property

The TimeDot name, logo, and branding are the exclusive property of TimeDot. Our services, including all software, design, text, graphics, and other content, are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

While the software is open source under the MIT License, the TimeDot brand and identity remain our intellectual property and may not be used without permission for commercial purposes outside the scope of the MIT License.

Limitation of Liability

TimeDot and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the services.

The services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
